Welcome to Clipive. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Clipive browser extension, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By installing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Services. We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Use of Services

Clipive provides a client-side screen and webcam recording tool with dynamic styling features.

  • License: Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Clipive browser extension for your personal or commercial purposes.
  • System Requirements: You are responsible for ensuring your device meets the technical specifications required to run the extension (e.g., compatible browser version, system recording permissions).
  • Account Registration: Some features, such as 4K video cloud sharing, require account registration. You must provide accurate and complete details and keep your account credentials secure.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

We offer a Free plan and a paid Pro subscription plan:

  • Billing Cycle: Pro plan subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis, depending on the selected plan.
  • Cancellation: You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period.
  • Refunds: Payments are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly detailed in our refund policies.

4. User Generated Content & Intellectual Property

You retain all ownership rights and copyright to the videos, screen captures, audio, text, and other assets you record, generate, or publish using Clipive. We do not claim any ownership over your content.

By publishing or sharing content via Clipive's cloud links, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and stream that specific content solely for the purpose of providing and distributing the sharing link on your behalf.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use Clipive to capture, record, share, or upload content that:

  • Infringes on the copyrights, patents, trademarks, or privacy rights of others.
  • Contains malware, spyware, viruses, or other harmful software commands.
  • Is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, harassing, or hate-oriented.
  • Attempts to disrupt or overload the stability and security of Clipive's cloud sharing servers.

6. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

In no event shall Clipive, its team, or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use or inability to use the Services (including but not limited to loss of recordings, terminal outputs, data, or project revenue), even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our cloud sharing services at our sole discretion, without notice, if we believe you are violating these Terms or engaging in abusive behavior.
